ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mr HE is a newly presented artist whose distinctive works explore identity, origin and the unseen forces that shape who we become.
At the heart of his practice is a primal idea: the struggle to become an individual begins before birth. Millions begin the journey; only one becomes.
His work transforms this biological beginning into a meditation on existence, individuality and the forces within us that precede conscious identity. Through image, material and symbolism, he explores the tension between the individual and the countless possibilities from which life emerges.
Mr HE chooses to remain outside the work. He does not seek recognition through biography, status or public identity, believing that the work itself should speak — and that the viewer’s encounter with it should remain at the centre.
MIRA Gallery presents Mr HE as an artist whose anonymity is intentional: a way of placing the work, rather than the artist, in the foreground.
THE PRACTICE
Mr HE’s practice explores the beginning of identity and the tension between individuality, chance and existence.
His imagery brings together the human face with primal forces of origin, creating works that ask where individuality begins — and what it means to become oneself.
