Summer Light, Collector Delight
December arrives with that soft, golden shimmer—the kind that makes colours glow differently and days feel just a little more spacious. In the studio, the warm air has been guiding my brush in gentle, luminous layers, almost as if summer itself is leaning in to whisper, slow down, breathe, create.
Lately, green has been appearing everywhere—in my palette, my wardrobe, and the lush surroundings here in Sydney. Perhaps it’s the way Australian summer holds its own symphony of greens and yellows, vibrant yet grounding, shaping the mood of each new painting.
My recent trip to beautiful Queensland left me inspired and rejuvenated: sunshine, beaches, soft mornings, long evenings. That sense of renewal travelled back with me, flowing straight into the studio, into each brushstroke, and into the work you’ll see this month.
