About us

Let art move you - beautifully,
honestly and deeply.

MIRA GALLERY is an artist-led contemporary gallery founded by Mira Corbova in Sydney. Alongside her own practice, the gallery presents a small curatorial program of invited artists shown through seasonal exhibitions, pop-ups, and collaborative projects.

The gallery presents painting, poetry, and object-based works exploring material, light, and emotional presence. Exhibitions are developed as curated encounters rather than fixed displays, allowing works to be experienced through shifting atmosphere and interpretation.

MIRA GALLERY operates through online presentations and private appointments, offering collectors and curators an intimate and considered viewing experience.
Alongside exhibitions, the gallery is expanding into publishing, object-based works, and collaborative projects that extend painting into material and written form.

We welcome opportunities for meaningful collaboration with collectors, curators, and aligned creative platforms.

About Mira Corbova

Where Light, Emotion & Colour Meet.

Mira Corbova is a Slovakia-born abstract artist based in Sydney, whose practice spans London, New Zealand, and Australia.

Her work explores light, atmosphere, and emotional presence through layered oil painting and object works. Guided by intuition, she creates compositions that evolve through memory, environment, and perception.

Her signature use of iridescent gold pigment introduces shifting luminosity within the surface, responding to light throughout the day. Her works are paired with poetry, forming a dialogue between visual and written expression.

Born in Slovakia, her practice began in childhood and was internationally recognised at age eleven at the International Art Show in Tokyo. She later developed her career alongside studies in art, photography, and business.

She has exhibited across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East, including The Other Art Fair Sydney.

Current Work

Mira is currently developing Embers of Love, a series of abstract oil paintings accompanied by original poetry and small object works.

Alongside this, she is preparing her new art and poetry book, with publication anticipated in early 2027.

Artist Statement

Intuitive art speaks when words have no form. Poetry sometimes emerges alongside my creative process, offering a glimpse into the emotional heartbeat and inner narrative of the work.

Mira’s work is rooted in the belief that art is a language of emotional connection. Her paintings are layered, luminous, and meditative, often designed to shift depending on light, orientation, and proximity. Rather than offering fixed meaning, they invite ongoing engagement and personal interpretation.

Through colour, texture, and subtle movement, her work explores how visual and object art can quietly shape the emotional atmosphere of a space.

Collections

Mira’s work is held in private collections across Australia | New Zealand | United States | Canada | Middle East | Europe
