Mira Corbova
International Abstract Artist | Poet | Curator | Founder of Mira Corbova Art Gallery | Art & Emotion
ARTIST STATEMENT
Mira Corbova is an international abstract artist, poet, and curator whose work transcends aesthetics to explore the emotional and spiritual dimensions of human experience.
“Art is my DNA — I cannot exist without it.”
Born in Slovakia, Mira’s creative journey began in early childhood and was internationally recognised at the age of eleven, when she received her first award at the International Art Show in Tokyo. With formal training in art, photography, and business management, she brings a distinctive blend of emotional depth and professional expertise to her practice.
Now based in Sydney, Mira creates deeply intuitive abstract paintings — vibrant visual expressions that connect to the soul. Many of her works are paired with original poetry, offering collectors an immersive and healing experience. Her signature use of gold pigment and gold leaf symbolises spiritual growth, light, and abundance. Several pieces can be rotated to allow for multiple orientations, inviting a personal and evolving relationship with each artwork.
“Intuitive art speaks when words have no form. My poetry emerges in the moment of creation or just before — capturing the emotional heartbeat of each piece.”
Mira is currently developing a new art collection and a forthcoming book uniting paintings and poetry from her recent collections. This publication explores the role of art in emotional healing, spirituality, and personal transformation.
BIOGRAPHY
Mira’s artistic journey has taken her from Europe to New Zealand and now to Australia, where she established Mira Corbova Art Gallery in Sydney in 2025 — a boutique art space dedicated to emotionally resonant art and storytelling.
Before relocating to Australia, she founded and directed The Art Lounge NZ, a respected fine art gallery in Tauranga and Auckland, for nearly a decade. There, she curated numerous exhibitions, art fairs, and creative events, supporting both emerging and established artists while nurturing a thriving artistic community.
Her signature style intertwines vibrant abstract painting with poetic storytelling, creating art that speaks directly to the heart and spirit.
In 2025, Mira also founded the Art & Emotion Collective — a collaborative project celebrating healing and transformative art. As lead artist and experienced curator, she brings together select artists for curated exhibitions at Australian art fairs, with plans to expand internationally — showcasing art that moves, heals, and connects on a deeply human level.
